| Citizens for a Community Center at Martin Luther King Jr. (CCC@MLK) is a neighborhood group working to create a dynamic, independent, self-sustaining community center at the former M.L.King Jr. Elementary School in the Madison Valley neighborhood of Seattle. The Center would honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. by offering multicultural arts, performance, lifelong learning classes, community meeting space, public playground, and more--for people of all ages, economic levels, and ethnic backgrounds. Read more on why we need a center in Madison Valley and about our vision.
Act Now! The School Board will very soon decide on what happens with the property. They need to hear from you that the neighborhood wants and needs a community center of, by and for this community. This is your chance to speak up! Check out our proposal and our rebuttal to the District's Selection Committee here in the "What's Happening Now" section.
